By accessing or using the Qumran Digital Reader (QDR) service at qumran.dev ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
The Qumran Digital Reader is a free, open, static-site reader for the Dead Sea Scrolls, presenting both biblical and non-biblical texts from the Qumran corpus with word-level morphological analysis and lexical definitions. The Service is operated by Michael Muzar.
3. Intellectual Property and Licensing

- The Service is released under the MIT License
- Source materials are individually attributed on the License page; each carries its own license terms
- You may use, modify, and distribute the platform software under the terms of the MIT License
- The underlying DSS corpus (ETCBC/Abegg) is licensed CC-BY-NC 4.0 — non-commercial use only

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. NO CLAIMS OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY ARE MADE REGARDING THE CONTENT, TRANSCRIPTIONS, MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS, OR INTERPRETATIONS PROVIDED.
Scholarly Responsibility: Users should consult primary sources and authoritative critical editions for formal scholarly research. QDR is intended as a research tool, not a substitute for rigorous academic methodology.
5. Data and Privacy
QDR does not collect personal data. The Service uses browser local storage exclusively to save your script preference on your device. No tracking, analytics, or data collection systems are implemented by this Service. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

12. Open Source Nature
The QDR platform is released under the MIT License. You may download, modify, host, and distribute the platform code freely under the same license. Note that the underlying DSS corpus has its own licensing restrictions (CC-BY-NC 4.0) that apply independently of the platform license.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
